If anyone knows what they are doing with Shiraz, it's Steve Pannell. This is a truly medium-bodied style that shows pretty aromas of blackberries, anise and purple flowers, along with a sniff of herbs. The palate is fine and fruity, with licks of pepper spice and savouriness, fine-grained tannins, bight acidity, and a long, spicy finish. It would be awesome with lamb cutlets.
