WINERY INFORMATION Rutherglen Estates offers an outstanding range of intense and full flavoured wines regional wines using premium fruit sourced from the estate-owned four vineyard sites The estate rsquo s cellar door was initially built in 1886 and had been in use for Seppelts Wines for over a cntury It is located in Tuileries Complex on Drummond Street Rutherglen nbsp TASTING NOTES This intensely flavouredBurgoyne rsquo s Block is a stylish blend of 25 Grenache and 29 Shiraz grapes with 46 Mourvedre grapes These fruit parcels were harvested and crushed in batches Post-maturation in a combination of old American French and Hungarian oak hogsheads the resulting blend flaunts a medium to deep red colour with brick red shades The fragrant nose emanates delicate scents of strawberries cherries spice and floral notes The medium-bodied palate packs enticing flavours of strawberry vanilla candy pepper and red berries Fine-grained tannins integrate with these classic characters to culminate the wine in a lengthy and sophisticated finish Drink this flavoursome red blend from Rutherglen Estates fresh upon release or within 3 to 5 years from vintage It complements foods like gourmet sausages with parsnip mash and caramelised onions or barbecued cumin and coriander crusted lamb racks with an asparagus baby corn and mint salad nbsp
