TASTING NOTES Arneis is a white variety traditionally grown in Piedmont in the north east of Italy where it is often blended with the red grape Nebbiolo to lsquo soften rsquo the red wine it produces With a reputation for being a nbsp difficult variety to grow Arneis loosely translated means squo little rascal rsquo nbsp in the local dialect It is becoming increasingly popular as a white varietal wine both in Italy and in Australia where in Italy it is referred to Barolo Blanco rsquo Arneis was the first Italian style rsquo white wine in our portfolio Our nbsp warm-to-hot days with cool nights help maintain the delightful freshness and crispness that makes Arneis special Our Arneis has nbsp a slightly herbaceous spicy aroma flavours of almond and pears a nbsp lovely fresh acidity generous fruit weight on the mid-palate and nbsp a delicate lingering aftertaste
