WINERY INFORMATION Situated in the beautiful Yarra Valley Rochford is a family owned wine company that incorporates a winery vineyard cellar door and shop amphitheatre pavilion and lakeside deck Renowned across the region for the delicious food and wines they serve at their world class restarant Rochford has become a showpiece of the Yarra Valley region TASTING NOTES Rochford Estate la Gauche Cabernet Sauvignon is a delightful blend of 90 Cab Sauv with 10 Merlot grapes This vibrant wine shows a deep violet colour lined by red tinges The fragrant bouquet is an amalgam of dark fruits spice and earthy nuances The palate is filled with flavours of wild blackberries as well as pepper and spice notes supported by fine grained tannins This is a well balanced Cabernet that ends in a lengthy finish It has a cellaring potential of about 10 years and tastes extremely well paired with porcini mushrooms mini buffalo sliders and beef ribs nbsp
