WINERY INFORMATION Alfredo and Katrina Pizzini began their winemaking career with the plantation of their first grapevines in 1978 They established their winery in the King Valley wine region and released their first wine under the Pizzini label in 1994 The Pizzini cellar door is a converted tobcco drying kiln located on the property where they began selling wines in 1996 nbsp TASTING NOTES The dazzling Pizzini Il Barone is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz grapes with Sangiovese and Nebbiolo grape varieties This fusion led to the creation of a deep brick red hued wine exhibiting enticing aromas of wild red berries plums blackberries cassis and light as well as dark cherries from its scintillating nose The lush and intense palate is rife with ripe and luscious berry fruit flavours which combine with firm and juicy tannins to end this alluring red wine blend in a tangy and upbeat finish Drink it with braised beef cheeks with celeriac puree and jus to enjoy its wonderful flavours nbsp
