Petale de Rose De LEveque AOC Cotes de Provence

$179.94

A wine that proves beautiful rosé exists, with a texture of fine satin and gentle pink grapefruit flavours, plus a perfection of balance that is almost non existent elsewhere. The Hermes handbag of the rosé world, withthe reputation to match. Petale de Rose comes from the estate of Château La Tour de l'Evêque, a famed estate located high up on the hill above St Tropez in Provence. With it's A-grade location it's only fitting that the estate is long converted to organic viticulture, the vineyards gaining organic certification back in 2005. The detail doesn't stop in the vineyard, with this rosé utilising no less than eight grape varieties in the blend too, including Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre, Rolle, Semillon and Ugni Blanc. Hand picked and gently pressed for delicacy it has an incredible sensual softness and texture that is difficult to describe. Like the feel of fine bone china. An exceptional dry rosé, this beautiful pink has gained worldwide critical acclaim, with Robert Parker describing it as 'very fresh and lively' and the wine landing a gold medal and 95 points from the Decanter World Wine Awards.
