WINERY INFORMATION Vineyard Fruit was sourced from a single vineyard located in the subregion of the Piccadilly Valley in the cool climate Adelaide Hills At 520 metres altitude this single vineyards produces grapes with purity complexity and superb natural acidity Winemaking From very long-lved Shiraz vines fruit is left to ripen fully on the vine to maximise rich concentrated flavour Fortified with a high quality brandy spirit the distinctive nutty lsquo rancio rsquo character of this fine old Tawny is the result of more than 20 years of aging in oak barrels During this extended maturation period the wine develops layers of depth and complexity and all the hallmark characteristics of a classic Australian Tawny TASTING NOTES Amber due to aging nbsp Christmas cake dried sultanas apricot and orange peel nbsp Rich concentrated palate of fruit cake raisins apricot jam and a spicy warm finish It is the perfect indulgence Match with dessert dried fruit nuts or cheeses nbsp Aged for 20 years in barrel this wine is ready to drink now and will cellar for many more years to come
