$359.94 See retailers & vintages

Now here is a rare beast. A megastar of Italian wine, barely seen anywhere outside of its home country, and now right here exclusive at Cracka. Exciting! This 2013 Nals Margreid Sirmian Pinot Bianco is exciting vino too. Hailing from the German-speaking part of northern Italy know as Alto Adige or Sudtirol), it's a stunning, richly textured white wine that has been called Italy's white Burgundy and wooed critics everywhere. Locally, Huon Hooke gave this delicious white wine 96 points and described how it 'showed a stony minerally character as well as restrained fruity notes, and was supremely delicate yet mouth-filling, with superb tightness and finesse'. In its homeland, this landed the top score of 3 Glasses from the Italian wine bible Gambero Rosso where it was called 'one of the provinces finest wines' and praised for a 'supple, never-ending finish'. It also has 92 points from Daniele Chernilli and 5 Grappoli at Bibenda 2015. Phew! As you can probably tell this is an epic white wine. A beautifully rich, yet dry, Pinot Bianco with amazing complexity and depth of flavour. A stunning white wine, this is now at the sharpest price in the land. White - Pinot Gris and Blends - Pinot Bianco
