Mystery 94 Point Shiraz

$149.94

This 2016 Mystery 94 Point McLaren Vale Shiraz represents exactly what we're looking for here at Cracka - an exceptional Shiraz in every way. The flagship wine for a small, family-run McLaren Vale wine label, this was handpicked from sixty-year-old vines, open fermented and matured in all new Frech oak for 10 months. It tastes every bit like an ambitious flagship Shiraz too, with lashings of chocolate oak, plush purple fruit and powerful tannins. An epic Aussie powerhouse Shiraz with endless chunky flavours that go on and on. Indeed James Halliday was a fan, giving it 94 points and full of praise for the 'impenetrable black forest' of fruit with a drinking window that stretches out to 2041! Crafted by a winemaking family that have been growing grapes in McLaren Vale since the 70s, this is the sort of wine that put the region on the map thirty years ago. Red - Shiraz and Blends - Shiraz
