The wine opens with rich, powerful and complex aromas of dark cherries, undergrowth, meatiness and spice. These flavours follow through on to the palate, which is a little softer and more approachable in its youth than previous vintages. The wine shows plenty of beautiful musk, cherry fruit and savory minerals on the lengthy, silky palate. It is seemingly more open and approachable than the initial aromas suggest. Very impressive length of finish, with very fine tannins and soft, perfectly-integrated acidity that gives lift to the fruit.
