WINERY INFORMATION Established in 1986 by Kerry Carland at Granton in Tasmania Laurel Bank Wines sits on a moderately sloped parcel of land with a great view of the Derwent river The vineyards are nourished by black crackling clay on top of layers of sandy loam sandstone floaters and orange clay The area enjoys a cool maritime climate that perfectly complements the type of soil that encourages the growth of premium quality grapes TASTING NOTES This Pinot Noir has a lovely and fragrant nose that features sweet red fruits and spicy notes The palate commands attention with its powerful and savoury feel that is highlighted by red and black cherry flavours and fine tannins This wine is softer in style but it is well-structured which gives it potential to age well It has a fresh and luscious finish that is immensely satisfying Suggested food pairings are salmon with mushroom sauce pork roast grilled salmon and chicken with tarragon sauce nbsp
