WINERY INFORMATION Located on the coastal slopes of the Pipers Brook wine region in northern Tasmania the Kreglinger wine estate was started by brothers George and Christian Kreglinger in 1797 Since 2001 it is being managed by Kreglinger Australia Pty Ltd The winery is covered with rich basalic soils that load the wines with unique characteristics and expressions TASTING NOTES This Brut de Blanc variety displays crystal and lime hues with fine and persistent beads and contains an alcohol level of 12 5 The refreshing and bright bouquet exhibits fragrances of white lilies honey Belgian white chocolate sherbet and a hint of candied peel fruits The palate becomes lively and buoyant with classy flavours of soft whipped egg white meringue the refreshing zing of quartz and a sherbet-like characteristic This wine tastes excellent with smoked salmon caviar and char-grilled seafood It is also a great accompaniment to a range of desserts including strawberries and cream cr egrave me Brule or meringue with fresh Tasmanian berries
