J. Dumangin Cuvee 17 Brut

$239.98 See retailers & vintages

This is the wine we've been waiting for – the bargain Champagne that blows all the other big names out of the water – Dumangin. Eversince last Christmas we have been searching for the finest French Champagne we could find and this grower Champagne looks the goods! It was actually Australia's top sparkling wine writer, Tyson Stelzer, author of ‘The Champagne Guide' who put us onto them. Take it away Tyson “These rank among the best value small-producer Champagnes” and we heartily agree. So how good is it – well in Tyson's book the Dumangin Brut 17 Non-Vintage Champagne scores a whopping 93 Points which puts it way ahead of Non-Vintage wines from big names such as Moet & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Billecart-Salmon, even Vintage Moet & Chandon. It is also on par with Vintage Laurent-Perrier, Vintage Taittinger Comtes de Champagne and Vintage Louis Roederer, all of which sell well north of $100 per bottle. And the best bit is the brilliant value. It is a super elegant Champagne style - subtle with loads of finesse and drinkability that will suit a casual drink and a proper occasion. And it finishes silky smooth with super crisp acidity. Well worth a case or three. Sparkling - Sparkling White - Sparkling White
