Georgias Paddock Shiraz

$150.00

Vibrant colour typifies this wine as a classic Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz from a great vintage. Always delicious and approachable upon release, backed up by great cellaring ability if you wish. Ripe red raspberry and blackberries, purple plums and very complex spiciness fills the big palate tha follows through on to the characteristic, supple yet assertive tannic finish, balanced by impeccable, racy natural acidity. Black as night featuring an impenetrable core and a very deep dark red black hue. Potent ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry aromas overlay toasty vanillin oak, hints of dark chocolate, earth and spicy pepper. Bold and lavish the palate features a dynamic core of rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruit which has a dense gutsy feel. Vanillin oak, traces of fennel, subtle scorched earth and spice sit comfortably beneath. Ripe chewy tannins provide ample structure. Magnificent concentration and power concluding with a very long opulently aftertaste.
