WINERY INFORMATION Wines by Geoff Hardy represents the 160-year-old winemaking tradition of the Hardy family Renowned vigneron Geoff Hardy founded the company in 1980 when he and his fellow viticulturist - Ian Leask acquired the Pertaringa vineyard in McLaren Vale Since then he has planted mor than 3 000 hectares of vineyards in addition to releasing the GMH and Hand Crafted by Geoff Hardy wine ranges nbsp TASTING NOTES Pertaringa Lakeside Red Meritage is a stylish blend of Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Petit Verdot and Malbec grapes The resulting blend showcases a deep red colour lined by black hues The fragrant nose exudes lively aromas of blackberries plums cherries and dark chocolate The plush palate is rife with rich flavours of dark chocolate and black forest cake coupled with wild berry undertones These flavours and fragrances combine to offer a beautiful structure ending the wine in a lengthy finale This tempting red blend can either be relished fresh upon release or within a cellaring term of 8 years Drink it with spinach caramelised garlic and red pepper pithivier to discover its grand flavours nbsp
