WINERY INFORMATION The story of Fermoy Estate began in 1985 when wine enthusiasts Beryl and John Anderson established the company They named the wine brand in honour of their ancestor a Scottish businessman who owned a portion of Fermoy in Ireland The estate rsquo s winery was built in 1987 leding to the release of its first vintage the next year nbsp TASTING NOTES Fermoy Estate Reserve Semillon features a stunning pale yellow colour The perfumed nose offers intense aromas of honeydew melon green apple and nbsp vanillin oak The palate is dense filled with spiced pear and preserved lemon as well as charred oak spice characters of star anise and vanilla bean These flavours and fragrances fuse together to culminate the wine in a captivating finale This tempting Semillon can either be consumed fresh upon release or within a cellaring term of 5 to 8 years Pair it with clam chowder foie gras and smoked salmon nbsp
