WINERY INFORMATION With a proud and long history of winemaking in the Barossa region Elderton Wines was established by the Ashmead family in 1979 to create premium quality wines reflecting the vibrant flavours of the region The E-Series wines are affordable and everyday drinking varietals designe from the unique Barossa grape varieties and harvests nbsp TASTING NOTES The grapes used to craft this 2015 vintage wine were sourced from Elderton vineyards at Nuriootpa and Greenock to retain the rich and ripe characters of the Barossa Valley region This 2016 E-Series Unoaked Chardonnay displays medium straw and light gold hues with an alcohol level of 13 5 The aromatic and lively bouquet gives way to a juicy and fresh palate full of peach and tropical fruits ending in a dry and lingering finish Made to consume upon release this medium bodied Chardonnay varietal tastes best served with Mediterranean pastas freshly grilled scallops and seafood delicacies
