This wine has no shortage of charm. Even the label’s colourful. This is Spain’s answer to Beaujolais. Bright, energetic fruity fun, with asoft and immensely satisfying finish. Mencia is a grape imbued with wondrously heady florals and bright summer berries, but a smidge more richness on the palate to back it up. If you’re fond of the flavours in pinot or gamay, but find them a little too weak-sauce for your liking, this is a wine made for you.
