De Bortoli Vinoque Pinot Blanc

De Bortoli are as consistent as my mother’s love. Mum’s probably hanging for a â€Ãâ€Ã…“Fo sponsored Christmas present this year, but De Bortoli have no shady ulterior motive – they just make damn good vino. If you froth over fruit this pinot blanc (like pinot noir, but white) will be your new best mate with aromas of pear, apple and a bit of zesty citrus to tide you over. Treat this one like your awkward friend and get matchmaking immediately –  it’s the perfect accompaniment to creamy pasta, chicken, hard cheese or, in my case, a mother’s soft heart.
