This Mourvedre range often expresses itself with an array of red fruits but the 2017 seems to added a darker layer to the mix. Hints of black olive, dark cherry and bitter chocolate partner the traditional raspberry, iodine and herb de Provence notes, both on the nose and palate. There is also a disinguishable savoury edge to this wine reminiscent of rosemary, oregano and salt bush. The mouthfeel itself is silky through the mid palate at which point a cluster of fine, chalky tannins kick in building structure and length. Savour this evocative wine as it twists and turns, offering up new flavours with each subsequent tasting.
