Call on Me Chardonnay Mixed Dozen

$139.00

Chardonnay is the friend you can always count on. Full of life and full of flavour, it's the big character of the wine world. And this dozen is chock full of approachable Chardonnay from all corners of the land. With wines from De Bortoli, Tahbilk and Tomich this case is not only rich with Chardonny character, it's also very very well priced. 2x 2017 Tahbilk One Million Cuttings Chardonnay: The appeal here is simple - James Hallidays's 2016 Winery of the Year Tahbilk have access to Chardonnay grapes from all over Victoria, picking the grapes when they're just ripe and maturing it all in older oak to preserve the clean and crisp apple peach fruit. 94 Points - The Wine Collective. 2x 2019 Willow Bridge Dragonfly Chardonnay: A gorgeous Chardonnay that totally over delivers! Lovely complex nose of lemon citrus blossom, grapefruit, cashew and oak spice. The palate has a core of intense stonefruit and spice, textural and long with gentle french oak toast on the finish. 92 Points - The Wine Collective. 2x 2018 Chateau Auzias Chardonnay IGP Cité de Carcassonne: Celebrating the city of Carcassonne, this is Chardonnay based yet with a twist of Sauvignon Blanc for variety. Interesting! The joy here is all abut texture, with the full flush of ripe fruit complemented by fragrant Sauvignon Blanc, the two very different varieties working together to add flavour AND fragrance. Unique white from a most underrated part of the wine world. 2x 2019 Morgan's Reserve Chardonnay: Out of the Adelaide Hills, this elegant Chardonnay is the latest in the line from the Morgan's Vineyard label, which has provided so many delicious (and reliable) wines in recent years. It's a fresh and vibrant white that trades on gentle peachy fruit instead of oak, the style approachable, crisp, easy. A moreish modern Chardonnay that anyone can appreciate. 2x 2018 Grant Burge GB32 Chardonnay: This Grant Burge Chardonnay is such a likeable wine. There's a hint of nectarine, a brush with a honeysuckle and then everything is delivered with a fresh finish. 91 Points - The Wine Collective. 2x 2018 Deep Woods Side by Side Chardonnay: How is it possible that the current 2019 Halliday Winemaker of The Year, Deep Woods' Julian Langworthy, can turn out bargain champions too? What can he not do? Juggle? So how does this taste? Well, that's complex. With a combination of barrel and tank fermentation, plus wild and not-so-wild yeasts there really is lots of happening here. Think fresh fruit, but with layers of flavour as well. Again, way too much for a $15 wine. 92 Points - The Wine Collective.
