This is magnificent wine. From the very top range of this awesome producer, it’s garnered nothing but superlatives in its praise. It’s spetacularly intense in flavour and concentration, without being unwieldy in weight. Blackcurrants and boysenberries abound, with a bright graphite streak and a liberal scattering of dried herbs and potent tannin. There’s a scintillating hint of exotic spice, too. You can cellar it for eons; time is most definitely on its side. Coonawarra at its towering best.
