Botanica are a South African producer with a cult following and their chenin blanc has gained the attention of the wine press world over. Tim Atkin describes it as ‘focused, pithy, taut and intense’ and we couldn’t agree more. This is next-level cheninblanc that is grown and made with immaculate attention to detail. Half of it was matured in 400L barrels, with the rest sitting in stainless steel, for nine months. This lees contact gives a gorgeous richness to the wine which is balanced by bright, zesty acidity, green apple and pears, and compelling minerality.
