A stunning edition of the 55th vintage. A very neatly captured nose of ripe, dark berry fruits and gentle mint, some purple olive, cedary oak, chalk and spice. The palate's enticing and powerful, lovely poise here: it delivers plenty of power, flavour and length, lovely purity, dark berry and plum fuits. A striking wine! Approachable and age worthy. All of our Museum Release wines are kept in a special vault with an environment that is both temperature and humidity controlled. The temperature is set to a constant 14 degrees – ideal for maturing wine. They are then tested regularly throughout the year, with each wine documented, marked for when it should be checked again and released at the optimal drinking age.
