WINERY INFORMATION Bethany Wines is a family-owned wine company started by the Schrapel brothers ndash Geoff and Robert in 1981 The winemaking team specialises in the production of elegant and food-friendly wines using a combination of modern winemaking practices and traditional techniques The chrapel family established the company s very first vineyard in 1852 The estate covers a total of 38ha of vineyards situated on the eastern slopes of Barossa Ranges nbsp nbsp TASTING NOTES This alluring Old Quarry Fronti from Bethany Estate is a stylish blend of Muscadelle Muscat AP grains and Semillon grapes sourced from the Quarry and Homestead Vineyards These grapes were handpicked crushed and then left on skins before pressing The juice was fortified with brandy spirits and aged in oak casks for six years The resulting wine displays a deep golden amber colour The luxurious bouquet emits lush aromas of orange marmalade coupled with a touch of honey and treacle These fragrances give way to the full-bodied palate eventually culminating in a smooth and lingering finale This delicious white wine tastes excellent served chilled as an aperitif or with figs quince japonica and a variety of hard cheeses nbsp
