WINERY INFORMATION Owned and managed by the Schrapel brothers - Geoff and Robert Bethany Wines is a reputed winery located on Bethany Road in Tanunda SA The company produces a total of 30 000 wine cases per year from an annual crush of 450 to 500 tonnes of grapes The winemaking team uses premiu fruit parcels sourced from their in-house vineyards ndash the Homestead Manse Bethanien and Bethany Quarry Vineyards nbsp nbsp nbsp TASTING NOTES The premium fruit used to create Old Vine Grenache was handpicked crushed and then immediately destemmed The juice was then fermented on skins and stored in French oak for maturation This process led to the creation of a vibrant purple coloured wine Mesmerising scents of cherries blueberries and strawberries offer a perfumed nose making way for a medium-bodied palate A sip of the wine offers ripe cherries and raspberry flavours followed by light hints of spice These great characters are balanced by smooth tannins which eventually pave the way for a captivating finale This tempting Grenache has the potential to be cellared for 3 to 8 years It can be enjoyed with antipasto tapas platter or lamb roast nbsp nbsp
