WINERY INFORMATION Established in 1866 Best rsquo s Great Western is a family owned and operated winery known for the production of outstanding quality red wines The Great Western range of wines offers medium-bodied wine varietals and blends reflecting the continental climate of Australia in its lavours and characters TASTING NOTES Best rsquo s Great Western Bin 1 Shiraz displays a deep red-magenta colour with hints of violet along the edges The aromatic bouquet offers intense perfumes of dried flowers aniseed and blueberry with subtle notes of bitter chocolate savoury spices and pepper The palate is fresh and smooth with juicy flavours of blueberry and plum careen These flavours intermix with the fine-grained tannins and mineral acidity ending the wine in a dry and savoury finish This vibrant Shiraz varietal can be cellared for 15 years to capture the complex fruit characters and is an ideal drink with slow cooked lamb leg and spring lamb
