This marvellous red wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties from Southeast Australia Wine aficionados have considered this medium-bodied blend to be one of the best classic red combinations in the world of wines It is identified by a deep black colour with rich and vibrant aroms of dark plums violets blueberries blackcurrants red cherries and a tad of spice The palate is medium to full-bodied with similar notes of blackcurrant and vanilla in addition to a soft tannin finish This wine may be enjoyed early but additional cellaring of about 7 to 9 years will enhance its flavours and characters Cabernet Merlot pairs well with steaks aromatic cheeses salt cod rack of lamb spiced venison and roasted beef fillet
