All Saints Estate Fortified Rutherglen Muscadelle

WINEYARD Established in 1864 All Saints is a heritage listed estate nbsp with a unique footprint in Australian winemaking history nbsp and a keen eye on the future under fourth-generation nbsp family owners Eliza Angela and Nicholas Brown nbsp Distinctive handcrafted table wines accompany nbsp wrld-renowned fortifieds to represent the very best in nbsp premium wines from this treasured corner of NE Victoria WINEMAKING To make our fortified Muscadelle the grapes are left on the vine to get really ripe many of them shrivel up to raisins The fruit is picked and crushed This macerates for a few hours in order to allow any raisined berries to swell up It is then pressed and the juice prevented from fermenting by the addition of high-strength neutral alcohol The wine is allowed to settle for a few days before being racked off to barrel for maturation The Rutherglen level of the classification is for the youngest wines with only a few years barrel age TASTING NOTES Colour Kaleidoscope hues of amber and gold Aroma Classic tokay features the aromas of cold tea however this Rutherglen favourite also has a fresh lifted spirit nbsp Flavour Exotic flavours of tea leaf malt and coffee nbsp Palate Exotic flavours of tea-leaf malt and toffee Food Pairing Delightful on its own or alongside coffee to end a meal it would also be wonderful served chilled with fruit based desserts
