WINERY INFORMATION Alkoomi Wines is a family owned and managed wine company located on Wingebellup Road in Frankland River Western Australia The foundation of the company was laid down by Netta and Vic Lange when they acquired a 1220ha property in 1946 Sandy and Rod Hallett presently own the esate nbsp TASTING NOTES The fruit used to craft Icon Wandoo Semillon was harvested and then the free run juice was fermented in French oak and stainless steel Post-treatment with lees for five months the resulting wine shows a pale gold hue with green tints The fragrant nose exudes lifted scents of cut grass and lemon zest with a gentle touch of toastiness The refreshing palate packs flavours of Granny Smith apples and lemon Bright acidity and smooth vanilla notes balance these aromas and flavours to end the wine with a creamy and textured finish Crafted to be relished fresh upon release It tastes excellent with foods like pork chops and chicken satay salad nbsp
